Introduction

I've noticed there aren't any specific guides/tutorials out there for modding Elden Ring on Linux, ESPECIALLY for Linux, and even if there are, it's quite far and few between. I struggled a bit at first, but now I'm taking the time to write a comprehensive guide for those that may also be lost and in need of assistance, I hope this helps.

Prerequisites & Background

First off, I'd like to list my specs & system, to help readers guage what I have been working with on my end:
  • Distro: Arch Linux
  • GPU: RX 6600
  • CPU: Ryzen 5 4600G
  • Driver: mesa-git 24.3.0
  • Kernel: Linux ragnarok 6.13.0-rc2-1-mainline
    • Let's also not forget about the modding tools you'll need: It should also go without saying that you'll need Steam installed as well.
